Mixmag Live Presents: Knife Party

Mixmag Live: Knife Party

Thursday 22nd November

Village Underground, 56 Holywell Lane, London

BRING THE NOISE….

Mixmag are back with more exciting, high profile news of their next Mixmag Live event. After a huge, sell-out show at Fire Nightclub featuring Dim Mak records boss Steve Aoki, the biggest dance music magazine on the planet is back with some of dance and electronica’s favourite bass monsters: Knife Party.

It also the marks the start of a brand new season of Mixmag Live events, taking London’s clubbers to the end of the year and beyond, with exclusive, storming line-ups.

Formed from the ashes of ground-breaking, stadium-rocking live drum and bass act Pendulum, Knife Party  – AKA Rob Swires and Gareth McGrillen – have smashed their way to the top of the bass music tree through their deep, thick and textured blend of electro, drum and bass, moombahton and house. Or, in their own eloquent words: ‘seizure music’. They’ll be appearing exclusively for the Mixmag Live series.

Support comes from drum and bass heavyweight and ‘Where’s My Money’ creator TC, bringing his non-stop d’n’b flavours to the venue. Further support comes from Scandinavia crew Pegboard Nerds and rising Kentish dubstep producer XKore, currently racking up more online hits than a cute cat site.

Tickets are just £16 and generously include an exclusive Knife Party mix CD and the latest issue of Mixmag on entry, featuring specially edited guest pages by the boys themselves.  A rare chance to see these globe-trotting, mosh-pit causing bass artists in a warehouse venue, make sure you head down and subject yourself to the rumblings of the future of crossover dance music.

Coming up for the rest of the year, Mixmag bring an amazing line-up just in time for Christmas, featuring DIYnamic boss and deep house favourite Solomun, supported by Karmon, James Pople and The Mekanism on December 14th. Keep peeled to Mixmag.net for more information and for regular updates.
