Mixmag Live: Boys Noize
Friday 25th January 2013
@ Village Underground, London
8PM – 4AM
MIXMAG RETURN FOR MORE FUN AND MUSIC IN 2013
After storming through 2012 with their remit of bringing some of the coolest, most sought after DJs and figures from across the spectrum for a one off bash, Mixmag Live kicks off 2013 in most upfront way possible, featuring none other than German techno and electro royalty Alex Ridha, AKA Boys Noize to headline the next event on Friday 25th January. The label head, DJ and producer – who recently released critically acclaimed album ‘Out Of the Black’ – shall bring his no-holds-barred, full throttle palette to Mixmag’s preferred den of Village Underground, East London. On top of this, the electro harbinger also brings a barrage of talent from his BNR (Boys Noize Recordings) imprint.
As well as being treated to Alex’s cutting edge sounds, Mixmag also welcomes two of the BNR label’s brightest talents, including D.I.M and SCNTST. D.I.M.’s blend of influences are the result of a 15 year career in the music industry, culminating in his raucous and high-octane blend of punk energy and arresting electronica, as demonstrated on many high profile remixes for the likes of The Presets and Chromeo. SCNTST – the newest blood to the BNR camp – has gone on to create tremors in the two years he’s been under Alex’s wing, blending electro stabs and bit-crushed techno that’s got a uniquely tough edge.
Tickets are just £16 and generously include an exclusive Boys Noize mix CD and the latest Mixmag on entry, featuring specially edited guest pages and opinion by the German electro king. This is a rare chance to see this legendary act in an intimate venue, make sure you head down and subject yourself to the rumblings of one of the scene’s very best.
